Basically, healthy eating means choosing a variety of foods from the basic food groups: meat and meat substitutes; dairy; fruits and vegetables; grains, such as breads and pasta; and a limited amount of fats and sweets. As simple as these sounds, it’s not always easy to get the nutrition you need. You may eat more of your favorite foods from only one food group, and as a result, get less of other food groups. Or perhaps you opt for convenience over quality when you are hungry.
In fact, healthy eating requires some planning and purpose and an effort to include a variety of foods in your meals. If you look closely at how you eat, you might find you aren’t getting enough nutrients because you don’t get the recommended number of servings from each food group.
So, not only is it important to pay attention to what you eat but also to what food groups you may not eat enough of. To accomplish this, keep a food diary of everything you eat and drink for 1 week. Pay attention to serving sizes, and check to see if you are eating a variety of foods from each of the food groups. You don’t need to meet the minimum number every day, but try to get the recommended intake on average over a week. If you are not getting the recommended amount of servings from each food group, you may be missing important nutrients. For example, if you rarely eat fruits or vegetables, you may not get enough vitamin C, beta-carotene, or potassium. Making a few small changes can help ensure that you’re eating a variety of healthy foods.
I have been craving for a spicy Ramen for days now since we arrive. So, when I saw one the other day in a convenient store, I have to grab one. Delish..

Perfect for a spring weather for sure!
I’m actually off to check on this life insurance online quote but have to share this new found love resto! I’ve only been here thrice together with a friend! The first time we were there, I was skeptical with the place because it’s an open air resto and it was lunch time so it was hot! But the article in Davao Sunstar was very promising that we really have to try. And my fiend also have been scouting for a good native fried chicken for a while now. So we tried and love it right away! I was amazed how their crab meat is heavenly! OMG you should try it! We’ve only been there during lunch but you have to go there earlier because they got tons of customers. Specially during evenings.. Anyway, here are some photos taken from my iPhone. Sorry, it won’t give justice on the food:) The crab meat and the native friend chicken plus the grilled belly are to die for!!!

Trust me, the foods at Conching’s are to die for!!!
And one of my fave resto in Shinjuku called Tsubami Grill in Takashimaya 13th floor, Shinjuku that I really missed! haha Is this one..Are you kidding me?
One of the best,promise!

Now, I’m off here!
Definitely so! But we will be back home there in a few weeks time:-) And one of the things/foods that I missed so much is this..They have the most yummy Strawberry cake ever!:)

hehehe..Have a great week! Xo
I love the pancakes- Pancake house offers. Well, from the name of the store itself. Damosa in Mamay Rd. opens a new Pancake house a few months ago and I like the ambiance the store has. Here’s what we had a few days ago.

Looking good eh?:)
We bought our house here in Dvo a year after I got married. After that we just go home once a year for a visit since we live abroad for 8 years. I do go to hot spots in the city. But it’s totally different when you live in the place. Until me and the husband decided last May that me and the kids will stay here for now. So, I just got a chance to really discover Davao. Fab places to eat and to discover. Then the neighboring must visit places. Like this Karlyn’s open air turo-turo resto that serves really good steak! The photo below(sorry it’s not really that nice because I just snapped it instantly using my iPhone-and it won’t give justice) is the famous Steak ala Pobre and the Salisbury Steak! It’s delish, the price is good and the serving is worth it! Nice ambiance too specially during dinner.

Check out Karlyn’s when you’re in Davao! It’s a must:) Now, I’m off to check on AC filters for the bedrooms!
I’m craving for this. I haven’t been able to drop by over in Mandarin or Dimsum for weeks now. Although, siomai in Mandarin is way better than Dimsum. I still love Dimsum though..:)

I’ll ask the eldest if he wants to have dinner there later..I’m finishing off my task and then I have to scan my notes for an oral exam by Thursday! Ughh..
Care to join me,anyone? hehe It’s heavenly!!! Yet, I can’t have too much of this because I’m in a very strict diet! Ughh..You should try it~!!!

Happy Monday!!!
