I still haven’t tasted this, but some say it’s great, my sister said she didn’t like it. I am now intrigued that I wanted to taste it asap. =)

My entries for Food Friday are posted here and here. Happy weekends!

so that’s what that cake is called! ate that twice (or more, lol) already, and i always forget to check the name. lol.

the recipe for the siling lumpia, sis:
fresh chili (around 25 pcs, with the seeds taken out and the lower curly tips cut)
ground pork/beef (around half kilo, cooked with pepper, salt, soy sauce, one whole onion finely chopped, six cloves garlic also finely chopped, one to two tablespoon vinegar)
cheese (juliened; we used cheddar kay mao ra na ang readily available, lol)
lumpia wrapper (one for each chili)
    oil for deep frying

: stuff the “cleaned” chili with the cooked meat, put the cheese on top, and wrap with the lumpia wrapper.
do the same for the remaining chilis.
then deep fry. no need to cook too long since the meat is already cooked. just till the wrapper gets to be golden brown. :)

another alternative is to bake them, sis. but you need to brush them with oil or maybe you can dip them in egg and breadcrumbs before baking them. haven’t tried baking them, though. :)

    thanks again for playing, Yen
    happy weekend

    hope you understood my explanation!
